Infant Toddler Intervention Services
Who we are:
Amy Reaves, M.Ed. Developmental Specialist / Supervisor
Melissa Candelaria, B.A. Early Interventionist
What we do:
Services provided by the Infant / Toddler Program vary as needed but can include:
- Family counseling, provided by a therapist contracted with the program, at no cost to the family, as long as child is enrolled and the family is actively participating.
- Information on local programs that may enhance the development of enrolled child.
- Home visits by an Early Interventionist (E.I.) to provide information on typical child development and brainstorm ideas that may work for the family to enhance any part of development where a delay is detected. These visits will be arranged by the family and E.I. to best accommodate the family. Visits can be scheduled weekly, every other week, or monthly.
- E.I. will monitor developmental progress by using assessment worksheet that outlines what skills are typically mastered at specific ages. This information will be shared with family.
- E.I. will collaborate with other team members including, but not limited to, the Service Coordinator, Therapists, and Pediatrician.

How to enroll a child:
This is a birth to three program. Children must be referred to Tennessee Early Intervention System (T.E.I.S.) who will determine significance of delay. If the child qualifies for services through T.E.I.S and the child lives in Greene County he/she may be referred to the Infant / Toddler Program. Please phone T.E.I.S at 1-800-852-7157 or contact your pediatrician if you would like to discuss your child’s development and schedule an evaluation.
