Philips Brilliance 64-Slice CT Scanner with Ambient Technology
Philips “Ambient Experience” is installed in our outpatient 64-slice CT suite. The Ambient technology is leading a change the in way patients receive care by creating hospital environments that are reassuring for patients and comfortable for professionals.

Inpatient/ER
Two Philips CT Scanners
A 64-slice CT and a 16-slice CT are utilized for emergency room patients and inpatients. The 16-slice is equipped with CT Fluoro capabilities.

Philips Achieva 3.0T MRI scanner
The Philips Achieva 3.0T MR scanner is the most compact whole-body 3.0T system available. The system offers complete and innovative applications in neurological, musculoskeletal and abdominal imaging, as well as functional and cardiac studies, contrast-enhanced angiography, and spectroscopic imaging. The clinical benefits of the Philips Achieva 3.0T include spectacular signal-to-noise ratio and image detail.

The Philips Panorama 1.0T is the world’s first and only open high-field MR with active shielding. Its open design and 160 cm wide patient gap gives patients of all sizes and shapes an unrivaled degree of comfort. Its 1.0T field strength delivers optimal MR image contrast. With a signal-to-noise performance similar to a 1.5T cylindrical magnet (achieved through its unique vertical field design), the Philips Panorama 1.0T combines the delivery of outstanding images with speed and patient comfort.

Philips dual-head Forte SPECT cameras
The Nuclear Medicine department includes (2) Philips dual-head Forte SPECT cameras (shown at right) and (1) dual head Axis SPECT camera (not shown). Cardiac and all general nuclear studies are performed routinely. Two treadmill rooms are located close to the Forte units for efficiency in cardiac imaging.

Philips iU22 Ultrasound Machines
The iU22 provides advanced diagnostic imaging capabilities. It features 4D (or, real-time 3D) imaging technology that helps patients and physicians better visualize and understand their condition. The ultrasound exams are much faster and the higher frequency transducers supply higher resolution images.

The Philips iU22 is referred to as the “intelligent system” because it is designed to adapt to the sonographer’s exam needs, making their job faster, easier, and less physically taxing.

ACR Accreditation is maintained in General, Vascular, and Breast Ultrasound.

Laughlin Pet ImagingPet Imaging
A mobile Siemens PET/CT scanner services the hospital two days per week. PET reading stations are located in the radiology reading areas.

 

 

 

PACS/RISWomen’s Center
Our private and comfortable Laughlin Center for Women’s Health, with its own entrance and patient registration area, utilizes the following equipment:

  • (2) Hologic Full Field Digital mammography units with CAD
  • Hologic Stereotactic Breast Biopsy Unit
  • GE Lunar Bone Densitometry
  • Philips iU22 Ultrasound (Accredited in General & Breast Ultrasound)
  • Dedicated breast workstations are located in the Women’s Center and the Radiology main reading area for convenient radiologist access.
