“Celebrate Life” and “Parent Partners,” grief support programs of Laughlin Health Care Foundation, will begin Tuesday, June 1, and continue each Tuesday and Thursday for a total of eight, one-hour sessions, ending on June 24.
The general grief support group session will begin at 5:30 p.m. The parents’ grief support group session will begin at 7:00 p.m. Both will meet in the Laughlin Memorial Hospital private dining room on the first floor, beside the hospital cafeteria. Both groups are conducted in partnership with Joyce Daniels, grief specialist.
Daniels earned a master of arts from East Tennessee State University and has over 14 years experience in the grief-counseling field. She holds two professional licenses with the State of Tennessee that enables her to provide professional grief counseling.
Betty Carter Justis, chairperson of Laughlin Health Care Foundation, said, “We are pleased to offer the services of Joyce Daniels for those in our community who are hurting. Joyce has the educational background and experience to provide the highest level of grief counseling service available in our community.”
Both support sessions are free community benefit programs from Laughlin Memorial Hospital; however, participants are asked to register with the foundation office at 787.5117 or to call the same number, if additional information is desired.
