A Message From Our Director

Choosing to participate in a rehab program is the single most important step you can take to reduce the likelihood of future cardiac events.  Your success in the program, however, will be determined by your desire to lead a healthier lifestyle.

In the upcoming months, you will face many challenges on the road to recovery.  During this time, you may have feelings of anxiety and fear concerning the health and welfare of you and your family.  You may experience physical discomfort associated with your surgery or other treatments for your heart disease.  You may also experience depression and stress associated with a decrease in or loss of your normal activities.

These are common in patients with heart disease and are often relieved by the confidence, education and strength gained from participating in a structured exercise program.

We are dedicated to making your participation in our program safe and pleasant and we look forward to helping you start your new heart-healthy life.

Thomas Beckner, MD, FACP
