Ministerial Visits And Chapel

Ministers are always welcome at your hospital. If you desire a visit from a Minister and you do not have one, please ask a nurse and he/she will contact one for you. The Greene County Ministerial Association provides a "Minister Call List" for this purpose. This special list is available at all times in the ICCU Waiting room located on the Fourth Floor.

Also, if you need a quiet moment for meditation and prayers, a Chapel is located adjacent to the Main Elevators on the Fourth Floor. The Chapel is accessible 24 hours a day.

FLowers and Packages

Flowers and packages will be brought directly to your room as they are received. Flowers are not allowed in the intensive care units.

Mail

Mail addressed to you will be delivered to your room daily. Please give any outgoing mail to your nurse. Mail received
after you have been discharged will be forwarded to your home.

Telephones

All patient rooms are equipped with phones for your convenience. For dialing any local number, dial "9" and then your number. When making a long-distance call, dial "0" to get the hospital operator. She will then get you a long distance operator. Long distance calls cannot be billed to your room. They must be billed to your home phone or charges reversed.

Television

All patient rooms are equipped with color television sets with remote control for your convenience. We do ask that you be considerate of the other patients in the hospital by not playing televisions too loud.

Barber and Beautician

With permission of your doctor, a barber or beautician can be called for shampoos, haircuts, etc.

Staying Over With Patients

If your family member requires someone with them at night, we request that only one adult stay.

Waiting Areas

Areas are provided for you to wait if you have family or friends in the critical care unit. We request that those who use these areas be considerate of others.

Small children should not be left in waiting areas unattended.

Lost and Found

The hospital is not responsible for loss of money or personal items unless they are placed in our safe. Articles inadvertently left behind when a patient goes home will be left in housekeeping to be claimed. These articles will be held for 30 days only.
